The study examines content teachers' attitudes towards English Language Learners (ELLs) before and after SIOP training, revealing that most teachers view teaching ELLs as their responsibility and see improvements in ELLs' academic performance. While teachers generally encourage ELL participation and find SIOP strategies beneficial, challenges include the overwhelming nature of combining content and language strategies and a lack of focus on secondary education in the training. Recommendations highlight the need for ongoing support and tailored training to enhance the experience for both teachers and ELLs.
