Users could create profile pages
with their photos, personal info,
their likes etc.

them was his roommate Dustin Moskovitz.
• The website spread like a wildfire to
various universities
• Soon it was across 34 campuses with
100,000 users.

• As the users grew Mark realised he would have to find
some source of revenue.
• Also Mark received many offers to sell the business for
high prices but he declined.
• He met with PayPal’s cofounder , Peter Thiel , who
offered a loan of $500,000 in return for 10% stake in the
company.
• Later Mark also made a deal with Accel Partners after
which the business came to be known as Facebook.

• Zuckerberg now encouraged advertising on
FB.
• He also added some new features like News
Feed. But this dint seem to work out for the
public. They protested as they felt they dint
have any privacy on FB.
• After this he worked on apps for Facebook.
For eg: Games like scrabble & Beacon.
• He kept adding more features.
