 His parents were Mary Lee-
Woods and Conway Berners-Lee.
 His parents worked on the first
commercially-built computer,
the Ferranti Mark I .
 His primary education from
Sheen Mount Primary
School and London's
independent Emanuel School.
 He studies atThe Queen’s
College where he received his
first-class degree in Physics in
1973.
Career
 He was appointed as an engineer
at the telecommunications
company.
 In 1980 he works on a project: a
real-time remote procedure
call.
 In 1989 writes his initial proposal
of the Transmission Control
Protocol and domain name
system ideas:TheWorldWide
Web (www).
 In 1991 the first web site built by
him and was putted on line on 6
August.

the most significant inventions
of the 20th century.The web
revolutionized the world of

 In 2009 he was elected as a member
of the United States National
Academy of Sciences.
 2017Turing Award.
He worked on a project: a real-time remote procedure call. In 1989
wrote his initial proposal of theTransmissionControl Protocol and
domain name system ideas:TheWorldWideWeb (www). After two
years published the first web site built by him and was putted on line
on 6 August.Three years afterwards founded WorldWideWeb
Consortium.
