Time sequencers and connectors
The document discusses two options for linking sentences and ideas in writing or speech. The first is simply listing sentences one after the other without connectors, which does not sound natural. The second and better option is to use connectors like "and", "but", and "because" as well as time sequencers like "then" and "before" to smoothly connect sentences and ideas. I wake but and up at 8.30 ______I get up at 10.00 _____ I then have a big breakfast. ______ I sometimes read or the newspaper ____ work in the garden. Before lunch Then ___________ I go out for a walk._____ I have lunch with my family. __________we watch TV After lunch ____ talk. We don't work ____ study. and or although __________ I love going to bed late, I work on so Mondays , ____ I never go to bed after 10.30.”
