This document discusses OpenStack telemetry using Ceilometer and Heat. It presents an overview of Ceilometer for collecting data from OpenStack services and publishing it. Heat is introduced for orchestrating complex systems. The document proposes integrating Ceilometer alarms with Heat to allow Heat to scale systems based on alarm thresholds from Ceilometer metrics.
