The document presents a systematic literature review of cloud computing in eHealth, identifying the state of the art, challenges, and future directions for research and application development. Out of 237 studies searched, 44 papers were included, categorizing the research into three areas: eHealth frameworks, cloud computing applications, and healthcare data security mechanisms. The review suggests that while most studies focus on theoretical designs, a hybrid cloud platform with enhanced security could be key for developing home-based healthcare solutions.
