TREKKING
Human beings have lived from the beginning of times in contact with nature but nowadays we spend more time in town then in the countryside.Last century, school trips started to be organized in Switzerland.
In the 1870s and 1880s, this custom was spread throughout Europe.
In Spain, the first activities were organized in Santander.
In 1908 in England, the most important movement was born, the ‘boys scouts’.HIKING AND TREKKINGHikingis to move from one place to another using your feet as the only ‘means of transport’. Any physical activity in the open air requires movements and these movements are made on foot.Hiking is an aerobic activity, you burn more calories walking than running. Its benefits are uncountable:It improves your heart resistance. It relaxes the nerve system. It burns calories.Trekking is an increasingly popular activity. We can walk in the countryside to enjoy the landscape, the ground, the climate and also the trees, plants and animals. These are theecologicalpaths.
HOW TO PREPARE THE RUCKSACKYou’ll need a rucksack to carry all your material. The amount of material depends on if you’re camping or not. Things you should do:Keep your rucksack closed with no tools hanging outside. The part next to your back must be soft. Be careful with hard objects inside, you can be hurt.Heavier objects must be in the part of the rucksack closer to your body.More fragile objects like food, cameras must go in the upper part.Keep the documentation in a plastic bag.
