Twitter Ethics 101

- 3. self-promotion is ok (but don't over-do it)
- 4. promoting your company is ok ( but don't do hard sell )
- 5. no begging for a RT (re-tweet) (often overlooked)
- 6. don't request for link clicks
- 7. it's absurd to see only blog RSS in your tweets
- 8. don't post private info in main stream (that's what DM is for!)
- 9. nobody want's to know what you're doing every minute
- 10. don't follow someone if his/her content doesn't interest you
- 11. don't ask people to follow you
- 12. follow-backs are not mandatory (don't fret if others don't reciprocate)
- 13. real-world courtesies and etiquette apply to Twitter
- 14. don't attack, defame, or harass a person (obviously!)
- 15. do you wanna be a subject of twossip? YES, EXACTLY. SO, DON'T. (but there's DM ^_^)
- 16. Be yourself.
- 17. Should I exploit Twitter as a money- making venture? (Nobody says you can't.)
- 18. don't make unsolicited @mentions just to promote your thing
- 19. Mix and mash up your tweets
- 20. Don't let other people tell you how to use Twitter. (that includes this presentation ^_^ .)
