THE WEB PAGE A web page is created as an HTML document, accessible on the world wide web. That means the document is present on a web server which has its own web address or URL .

The first page usually requested when visiting a website is called the home page. The home page contains a summary of the web pages and their purposes . It is like an index page of your exercise book. For example, Google.com is a common website which is used in today’s modern world.

When a site visitor clicks on the hyperlink, the topic/destination is displayed on the next browser window. They are shown on the next slide .

- 15. A Protocol isa set of rules defining a standard of communication. The HHTP protocol is used for retrieving HTML documents on the World Wide Web. It is one of the popular protocols used for communication between computers.
