The simple present tense in English is used to describe an action that is regular, true or normal.
We use the present tense:
1. For regular actions in the present time period.
•I go to English class every Saturday
•John sleeps eight hours every night during the week.
2. For facts.
•The President of The USA lives in The White House.
•A dog has four legs.
3. For habits.
•I get up early every day.
•They travel to their country house every weekend.
4. For things that are always / generally true.
•It rains a lot in winter.
•The Queen of England lives in Buckingham Palace.
In the third person we add 'S' in the third person.
• She learns English at home
• Paul runs every morning
For verbs that end in -O, -CH, -SH, -SS, -X, or -Z we add -ES in the third person.
• Nadia goes to dance classes every Friday
• Gabriel washes the dishes as soon as he finish eating
For verbs that end in a consonant + Y, we remove the Y and
add -IES.
• He studies biology
• Martha carries a notebook and pencil everywhere she
goes.
NOTE: For verbs that end in a vowel + Y, we just add -
S.
• Jenny plays the drums in a band
•Lenna enjoys her weekends
• I don’t like fruits
• You don’t need help
• He doesn’t sleep early
• She doesn’t sing well
• It doesn’t work
• We don’t eat meat
• They don’t walk to

We DON'T use Do or Does in questions that have

With "always, forever, constantly", to describe and emphasize a

WH-questions are formed by moving the
