HARMONIA
(rough draft)
INT. HARMONIA’SBATHROOM – MORNING
Close-up: Water runs. Hands splash it onto a face.
HARMONIA looks at herself in the mirror calmly.
She places her earpiece in. Sound fades in, soft and muted.
She adjusts her collar, glances once more at her reflection, and
forces a small smile before heading out.
INT. SCHOOL BUS – MORNING
Harmonia sits by the window, scrolling through her phone. The bus hums
quietly.
A classmate, IVY, sits beside her.
IVY
You always get up this early?
HARMONIA
(Signs lightly, speaks softly)
Helps me think.
IVY
(half-smiles)
I’d rather think in my sleep.
Harmonia gives a faint laugh. Silence settles between them,
comfortable at first — then awkward.
Ivy glances over at her.
IVY
You and Owen okay? Haven’t seen you together much lately.
Harmonia pauses, pretending not to have heard.
She looks out the window. The reflection of her face and the moving
world outside blur together.
HARMONIA
(Signs slowly)
We’re fine.
INT. SCHOOL HALLWAY – LATER
2.
Harmonia walks pastthe cafeteria.
Three girls, KENNEDY among them, sit together, whispering and glancing
toward her.
Their voices are muffled, unintelligible.
Close-up: their lips move. Harmonia lowers her gaze and keeps walking.
Then OWEN appears. He touches her shoulder gently.
She turns, surprised.
OWEN
Hey. Didn’t see you this morning.
HARMONIA
(Signs softly)
I was on the bus.
OWEN
Everything okay?
She nods. He hesitates but smiles and walks off.
Her eyes follow him, her small smile fading.
INT. HARMONIA’S BEDROOM – EVENING
Harmonia studies. Her phone buzzes.
She looks, a news notification.
No message. Just noise.
She sighs and stares at the wall.
INT. HARMONIA’S ROOM – NIGHT
Harmonia works at her desk, not wearing her earpiece
Her phone lights up:
“I think we should take a break for a while.” — Owen.
Her hand trembles. She sets the phone down, tears building but
unfallen.
Then, quietly, she stands, puts on her jacket, and leaves.
Her earpiece remains on the desk.
3.
EXT. QUIET STREET– NIGHT
Harmonia walks alone, lost in thought.
The only sound is the soft rhythm of her footsteps.
A dark shape moves behind her distantly.
She doesn’t notice.
Suddenly, a hand grabs her from the side.
She’s yanked into the dark.
BLACK SCREEN
Silence.
Then a final shot of Harmonia’s arm laying on the ground.
Cut to black.
