  Junior Design •1st and 2nd year students • Teams of 4 • Use basic materials to solve and prototype an open-ended problem • Design, test and present a working prototype CREATIVITY TEAMWORK PRESENTATION

  Altera Senior Design • 3rd and 4th year (and PEY) students • Teams of 4 • Arduino robotics kit (formerly Lego MindStorms) • Design, test and present a working prototype

  Programming • Opento all students from any discipline • Teams of 4 • Shorter hackathon with a focus on industry style app development and programming • Judged on presentation, documentation and implementation

  Accenture Consulting •Open to all students from any discipline • Teams of 4 • Develop an analytic solution to a multidisciplinary, large-scale, real world engineering problem • Write a proposal and present to a panel of industry judges
• 12.
  Innovative Design •Open to all students from any discipline • Teams of 1-4 • Bring in your own research project or prototype • Present to judges from academia and industry

  Debate • Opento all students from any discipline • Teams of 2 • British Parliamentary style • Mix of both engineering and non-engineering PUBLIC SPEAKING topics TEAMWORK PRESENTATION

  Communication • Opento all students from any discipline • Teams of 1 or 2 • Prepare a presentation beforehand about a current technological issue • Talk about something you’re passionate about and receive feedback on your presenting skills
