Verruocus Carcinoma - Clinical and histopathological features
Verrucous carcinoma is a low-grade variant of squamous cell carcinoma, commonly found in the oral cavity, larynx, and especially the buccal mucosa in older males, often linked to tobacco use. Clinically, it presents with an exophytic, papillary appearance and can involve deeper structures, leading to regional lymph node enlargement and pain. Treatment typically involves conservative excision, though ionizing radiation can lead to anaplastic transformation of the lesions.
