In this sermon we will observe the birth of the global Missions movement. We will see that the first missionary was not Philip the evangelist but actually a large group of non-professionals - the Christian believers who, while fleeing for their lives took the gospel seed with them and shared their faith with those they ran into. It's a powerful reminder to us that we are all called to be evangelists and missionaries, sharing the gospel with the people next door and actively supporting the global mission of the church. We will also see how God remains active despite the brutal persecution. He scatters His church like seed leading to a harvest of souls. Pastor Steve will ask the hard question, "Do we need a scattering today?"
