• Subject: Science Project
• Project Guide: [Guide Name]
Introduction
• This project demonstrates a simple Water
Level Indicator system.
• It is designed to monitor the water level inside
a tank.
• The system helps avoid overflow and saves
water by indicating different water levels.
Objective
• To monitor the water level in a storage tank.
• To prevent overflow and protect the water
motor.
• To design an affordable and easy-to-build
model using basic components.
Materials Required
• 1. LEDs (Red, Yellow, Green)
• 2. 9V Battery
• 3. Connecting Wires
• 4. Switch
• 5. Water Container or Tank
• 6. Copper Wires or Metal Rods (as sensors)
Circuit Design
• Three sensor wires are placed at different
heights inside the water tank.
• A common wire is fixed at the bottom and
connected to the negative terminal of the
battery.
• As water reaches each level, it completes the
circuit, allowing current to flow and light up
the corresponding LED.
Working Principle
• When water touches the lowest sensor, the
green LED glows (Low Level).
• When it reaches the middle sensor, the yellow
LED glows (Medium Level).
• At the top level, the red LED glows, indicating
the tank is full (High Level).
• An optional buzzer can be added for overflow
alert.
Real-Life Applications
• Used in domestic water tanks to monitor
levels.
• Applied in industrial water storage systems.
• Helpful in agricultural irrigation systems.
Advantages
• Prevents water wastage and overflow.
• Cost-effective and easy to assemble.
• Simple design with no need for programming
or microcontrollers.
Conclusion
• The Water Level Indicator is an effective tool
to conserve water.
• It ensures efficient usage of water resources.
• A practical and eco-friendly solution for
everyday use.
