PRODUCTION OF BMW i MODELS IN LEIPZIG IS SETTING
BENCHMARKS IN THE AUTOMOTIVE INDUSTRY.
− 50% less CO2 (equivalent) emissions in BMW i CFRP production
compared to conventional CFRP production.
− 25% of thethermoplastic parts will be substituted by natural fibers and
recycled materials.
− The production of BMW i models in Leipzig consumes 50% less energy and
70% less fresh water compared to a conventional BMW production.
All energy used is 100% renewable.
