Think about artists. When someone is making art, you don't want to bother them. Turning ideas into design and code is a form of art and this is what happens when you push security into that. Getting people to perform a task they don't want to do is doomed to fail, security tasks included. In my experience, I realized that you can learn a lot about the security mindset of the organization when doing a code review or when asking developers how they tested the application. This session will talk about security experts empowering developers versus slowing them down and I will be sharing specific tips and use cases from my own experience.
