Consider: “Innovation”Sometimes not what you think it is.Sometimes, others benefits more then you do.Often, users lead, and some more, then others.

ConclusionsOpen Innovation does exist in the Geo-information sector in the NetherlandsFactors of importance are only internal-to-the-organization factorsTop tier innovation projects are hardly related to open innovation concepts
There is an intention to open the books on innovation, now the books on innovation can be opened.

  • #14 Last Friday we had a great time meeting professor Henry en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Henry_Chesbrough in KIMbcn with a few colleagues and investors. Henry Chesbrough coined the term open innovation and is the author of Open Innovation: The New Imperative for Creating and Profiting from Technology (HBS Press, 2003). Chesbrough is currently an adjunct professor and the executive director of the Center for Open Innovation at the Haas School of Business at the University of California, Berkeley. www.bioaccez.comhttp://www.flickr.com/photos/8674753@N02/4159242075/in/set-72157622814928045/

  • #19 Translatedfrom“Bepaalde bedrijven hebben er veel voor over om ‘open’ over te komen.”Youmay want to replace “company” by “people”Be sceptical, also of presenterson open topics!
  • #20 “open” has many perspectives. Is this bridge open or closed?(fotoJw)
  • #21 As used in my thesis
  • #30 Read mostly articles, not too many books on OI.
  • #35 Presentation I used for a small introduction before defending my thesis
  • #40 Respondents indicate there is a plan for Open Innovation. It has not yet impacted the top three innovation projects.
  • #42 What role does time play? How would the top three innovations be impacted in three years time?
  • #44 Relatedsubjects I amcurrentlylookinginto.
  • #46 In general, workingwithgeographicinformation in full isolation is notveryusefull
  • #47 I arguethat open innovation is exactly right forgeo-information
  • #48 What is anoptimaldiffusionhere?
  • #50 Great OIchallange. What are the limits of opennesshere?
