Main Observations (1/2)

• People are at the centre, no longer companies -
people and not companies are connected, which on the
one hand poses a real threat to companies, as they
might lose their best talent or inside know-how; on the
other hand however, these personalized relationships
could provide completely new positive perspectives,
challenges and opportunities. In all previous partnership
models there are problems of involving people at
different levels into the partnership process, there
might be problems of involving companies - employers
of those connected people. Companies will need to pay
much more attention to appropriate award systems for
the most talented and loyal workers.
• Everyone is a source of something to someone.
Every mobile user and/or everyone with access to the
Internet has access to virtual networks and platforms as
many of them are open to everyone. You can sell or
share whatever you know or whatever you are able to
offer and buy whatever you need. Language is no longer
a barrier to collaborating globally.

• The purpose of the majority of virtual/on-line
platforms is too general (meeting whoever and
sharing whatever), however new platforms, which are on
the horizon, are much more goal/objective oriented.
• Countries with competitive advantage will be those
who will be able to quickly adapt their
educational, legal, financial and business support
systems to new business models that are already
present and even more to those which are on the
horizon. Many countries are not yet ready for these new,
extremely diverse and sometimes very complex global
virtual collaboration models which open the door wider
to the virtual economy.

Our main development challenge
Today’s trend of
a “connected world of everything and
everyone from everywhere”
will initiate many changes and many challenges.
We see our challenge in developing and spreading
appropriate types of business, leadership,
management, organisational, research and business
support models, methods and tools. All these in such a
way as to create added value for one or more of our
target groups to enable them to survive, win and even
enjoy the world complexity, diversity and heterogenity.
We can learn enormously from the newly shaped
connected world, and we can overcome many of
today’s problems by combining purposes and talents
with processes and technology.
We believe global knowledge sharing and the
development of a collaborative culture will bring
a better and more balanced world.
Our goal is to contribute to this with all our knowledge,
experience, intelligence and a positive spirit.
