• Sunday Bikedays allows users to appreciate the Capital’s environment

• On-site promotion consists of parkway entrance signs, street closure
signs, sandwich boards and NCC feather banners

Mission
“The Sunday Bikedays program highlights the Capital’s parkway
corridors and adjacent parks, and provides an opportunity for
Canadians to experience the Capital in an active manner and to
appreciate the national significance of its natural assets”

 Introduction of new routes and different thematic routes
 Lively welcome areas
 Variety of services
 Modern communications to promote pleasant and safe travel
 Efficient and sustainable resources
 Collaboration with the community
Consultation process
Collaboration with members of the community, public and
private organizations, and various government organizations
contributes to the renewal and reach
of the Sunday Bikedays program
Context and objectives
Dynamic workshop
Context: The Capital Urbanism Lab workshop provided an
opportunity to help establish the SBD strategic plan
objectives
Objectives: Municipal, economic and community
stakeholders discussed three different themes
Process and tools: Participants were divided into groups,
each workshops lasted for 30 minutes. Paper, pencils and
maps. Plenary at the end.
