IMA: AN INTEGRATED MONITORING ARCHITECTURE WITH SENSOR NETWORKS Abstract: The integrated monitoring has become an important approach for investigation, detection, and policy decision in many fields. Unfortunately, current monitoring systems are commonly developed by different organizations using specific technologies and platforms, bringing a lot of difficulties for the seamless integration and unified access. To address the aforementioned problem, a novel integrated monitoring architecture based on Web services is proposed, which offers a universal client for accessing different monitoring systems and then facilitates system integration under the heterogeneous environment. Sensor networks have provided innovative solutions for different applications in both industry and education fields. Existing system: In the existing system, the parameters of different environments are measured and updated in a separate database. The measurements were being carried out using wired protocols. The disadvantage is that the amount of cabling required and also there is no commonly available database Proposed system: In the proposed system, a common database is created for various environments. The system also uses wireless sensor networks for parameter measurement. In this project two environments are considered. In the living environment, the temperature and humidity is measured and transmitted via Zigbee through the PIC microcontroller. In the industrial environment, the voltage and current taken by the induction motor is measured and transmitted with the help of the same as first case. In the receiver section the values are received by PC and
- 2. stored in a database. Once the user selects the environment and enters his/her user ID and Password, the data of that particular environment is retrieved back from the database.
