An infographic from Think Media Labs highlights Twitter activity among Lebanese politicians in June 2012, showing telecommunications minister Nicolas Sehnaoui as the most active with over 150 tweets. Antoine Haddad and Nadim Gemayel follow in second and third, with Gemayel earning the title of the 'most social politician' for his replies. Notably, Shia politicians have yet to significantly engage on Twitter compared to their Christian, Sunni, and Druze counterparts.

The info graph includes numbers of tweets, followers, replies and other data, and gives an interesting insight into how Lebanon’s politicos are engaging with the tech-savvy plebs. Telecommunications Minister Nicolas Sehnaoui topped last month’s leaderboard with over 150 tweets, March 14 Secretariat member and founding member of the Democratic Renewal Movement Antoine Haddad was placed second, while Kataeb bloc MP Nadim Gemayel took third spot and earned the accolade of most social politician, due to his relatively high number of replies. The most followed politician remains former Prime Minister Saad Hariri (with over 150,000 followers), who fell from top spot in terms of the most prolific Twitter user in May to ninth spot in June, one behind Progressive Socialist Party leader Walid Jumblatt. Interestingly, while Christian, Sunni and Druze politicians (or their aids) are busy busting out tweets, Shia politicians have not – at least yet – embraced the Twittosphere, according to the info graph.
