The charges were named as positive and negative by the American scientist Benjamin Franklin. - 12. CHARGE Electric charge on a body may be positive negative and zero. It does not depend upon the velocity of body It is quantised and conserved . Force between charges can be attractive and repulsive. MASS Mass of a body is positive quantity Mass of a body increase with its velocity . The quantisation of mass is yet to be established .
