Grew up in Woolmarket, MS. Graduated from D’Iberville HS in 1978. Married my wonderful husband, Thurman, August 4, 1979. Joined the US Army (husband was already in) in May 1980. Began taking college classes wherever and whenever I could. Was assigned to Ft. Bragg, NC after basic and AIT. Transferred to Furth, Germany (just outside Nurenburg). Sent back to the states (Ft Gordan, GA) after my husband was hurt. Had my first child, Ryan, in Georgia. Transferred back to Germany (Bad Kreuznach) where I had my second child. Worked as a computer programmer/analyst for the Army until 1987 when I left active duty and came back to MS. Joined the MS National Guard and finished my degree in c
