On 8 September 2022, the Palestinian Rights Committee’s Bureau honoured Ms. Maysoon Elayyan, author and the mother of a terror victim, at a meeting hosted by the Permanent Mission of Indonesia to the UN. The meeting was also attended by UNRWA Representative Office Director Greta Gunnarsdottir and UN Department of Global Communications’ Outreach Division Director Maher Nasser. Ms. Elayyan who lost her son in the terrorist attack on a mosque in Christchurch, New Zealand in 2019, is participating in the UN Global Congress of Victims of Terrorism in New York and is also featured in the Memories Exhibit. The Bureau conveyed their deepest condolences and voiced their strong condemnation of the killing of innocent people and expressed their full solidarity with the victims.
