At a recent workshop hosted by Stellenbosch University and Cape Peninsula University of Technology, Prof. RENE PELLISSIER presented on behalf of SARUA on the UNIICo-create initiative to develop a regional entrepreneurship module for #SADC universities. Her presentation outlined how the module can build innovation, employability and sustainability across the region by encouraging universities to work closely with industry, government and communities. It responds to fragmented entrepreneurship education and limited university–industry collaboration, while aligning with the SADCQF, RISDP 2020–2030, AU Agenda 2063 and the #SDGs. She also described how the proposed Level 7 module uses experiential learning to help students identify, test and implement entrepreneurial ideas, while developing ethical leadership and practical skills. Opportunities lie in FinTech, AgriTech, sustainable tourism, digital innovation and the creative industries, with future plans for AI integration, micro-credentialling and blended delivery. #UNIICoCreate #Entrepreneurship #HigherEducation #Innovation #SADC #Sustainability
