Philly Degrees

(Helen Scott, Cynthia Garrison and Valerie Holiday) Formerly known as Three Degrees, the group first hit the charts in 1970 with a remake of the Chantels Maybe. Their unique vocal blend can also be heard at the end of the perennial dance favorite TSOP, recorded by MFSB and known to most as the theme song to the popular television show Soul Train. They scored another top 20 R&B hit with I Didnt Know, penned by Bunny Sigler. A career highlight for any artist, they were invited to perform for HRH Prince Charles 30th birthday celebration at Buckingham Palace. (They were also guests at his wedding to Princess Diana!) They have had much chart success in the UK with hits like The Heaven I Need. For more information, visit their official website.
