| 31980 | "The Practical Typewriter No. 3" features a unique mechanism created by the Simplex Typewriter Company. Patented in 1899 at the turn of the century, this typewriter does not display a keyboard. Instead the user turned a wheel to select a letter and pressed the mechanism onto paper to make an impression. It was marketed as "A Writing Machine for Everybody!" (much more affordable than the Remington). It was tedious for adults to use and by the 1930s the company began marketing it specifically as a typewriter for children. This was found in the estate attic with the toys, so I am thinking they gave it to the kids to play with. Measures 11" x 8.5" x 3". All intact, All works. Shows some wear here and there. Beautiful red wood base. Ink pads are still there, as are all the little letters, numbers, etc. keys! *Free Shipping in USA | 1930s | $135 |

| 32480 | Late 1960s/Early 1970s RARE VINTAGE JAMES INDUSTRIES SLINKYMOBILE PULL TOY w/ ORIGINAL BOX - First one I have ever seen!
Very hard-to-find Original Slinky Slinkymobile Pull Toy No. 600, made by James Industries, Inc., Hollidaysburg, PA. This unusual toy features four large wire Slinky wheels, moving pistons and a clicking action when pulled.
Measures approximately 11" long x 7½" wide x 7½" high.
An exceptionally nice example that appears to have seen little to no play. The yellow plastic body, driver, red details and all four wire Slinky tires are bright, clean and beautiful. Includes the original illustrated box, which shows some expected storage/age wear.
PLEASE NOTE: Unfortunately, the plastic front axle is broken cleanly in half (see close-up photo). The pieces are present and a new owner should be able to epoxy the clean break, but we have left it exactly as found and have made no attempt to repair it.
These Slinkymobiles had a relatively short production run and are seldom encountered today—especially this complete, this clean, and with the original box. The fragile plastic axle construction probably helps explain why so few survived intact.
