Impromptu Prague

Spur of the Moment Travel

My new passport was burning a hole in my pocket. I had to use it. Two days after it arrived, I booked a week long trip to Prague, Czech Republic. A week later, I departed. Prague was a wonderful choice. The old city is compact and walkable, transportation is easy and efficient, my hotel (Century Old Town) was incredible, and the weather was great for wandering. There was only drawback for me. After six days of walking on uneven cobblestone streets and sidewalks, my feet needed a vacation.  I’m still processing my photos but thought these turned out well.

    1. Thanks so much. I loved Prague. My maternal grandfather’s family was from Bohemia/Czechoslovakia, so I felt a bit like it was in my genes.

    1. Mucha’s Slav Epic paintings are incredible. The pictures don’t convey how large they are. Huge. Apparently there is a dispute about who owns them and whether they will stay in Prague or will be returned to the small town in which they were displayed for years. I’m so glad I saw them.
