  3. Thoughts on Trump during his first 100 days?

  4. I am confused. I think there are only two books and I loved them both. When will you have a new one come out? I am really looking forward to more in this series.

    • Sorry for the confusion, but I’m so glad you liked the first two books!

Book 3, as of this writing, is sitting on my editor’s desk. I can’t formally announce anything and I don’t have any release details, but I’d hope it’s out by the fall or at least the end of the year. Book 4 is underway now and hopefully will be released next year. There will be 4 books total in the series. When I have clearance to announce hard and fast details, I’ll be certain to post them on the blog here.

      Thanks so much for reading!

    Hello Professor,
I was a former student of yours in your Tech and Lit class and that writing class that first years take MCPHS. I enjoyed your Tech and Lit class a lot and I just wanted to thank you for reminding me that reading can be fun again and that I don’t have to spend the rest of my life reading medical textbooks.
Anyways, I finished my graduate program and now I have a lot more spare time on my hands. I wondering if there were any other Sci-Fi related books you suggest reading. Were there any other books that you wanted to add to the Tech and Lit class but weren’t able to add?
    Thanks again,
    Christopher Evangelista

    • Hi, Chris! Happy to hear from you and congratulations!

I don’t think we read Dune by Frank Herbert in your class. Big and challenging but definitely worth the read.

Also check out these (scifi, but didn’t necessarily fit with the class):
The Left Hand of Darkness by Ursula K LeGuin
      Ancillary Justice by Ann Leckie
The Moon is a Harsh Mistress by Robert Heinlein
Trading in Danger by Elizabeth Moon
All Systems Red by Martha Wells

All of these are super and are a good start. Some of them are the starts of series. Oh, and of course I’d be remiss if I didn’t mention my own novels (they’re fantasy, not scifi): start with The Oldest Trick, if you’re interested. There are links on this site.

      Happy reading!

Hello. I am an Analog subscriber and have seen three of your “Faceless” stories there. Enjoyed them a lot. This home page refers to seven stories featuring this character, five in Analog. Can you please provide the names of the stories, where and when they were published. If you ever decide to publish an anthology including these stories, I’d be interested. Thank you — Jim

    • Hi, there! The seven published Faceless stories (in order of publication) are as follows:
Habershaw, Auston. (2015, December). Adaptation and Predation. Escape Pod. #513.
Habershaw, Auston. (2019, January) Applied Linguistics. Analog Science Fiction and Fact Vol 139.
Habershaw, Auston. (2022, May) Proof of Concept. Analog Science Fiction and Fact Vol 142.
Habershaw, Auston. (2022, July) Punctuated Equilibrium, Analog Science Fiction and Fact Vol 142.
Habershaw, Auston (2023, May) Planned Obsolescence, Galaxy’s Edge #62.
Habershaw, Auston (2023, November) Tool Consciousness, Analog Science Fiction and Fact Vol 143.
Habershaw, Auston (2024, March) Brood Parasitism, Analog Science Fiction and Fact Vol 144.

As for a short story collection of these stories, one is currently in the works, though at the moment I don’t know when it will make it to print. I’ll keep this blog updated on its progress, though, as it develops. Thanks very much for your interest, and I hope to publish more Faceless stuff in the future.

      Auston
