THIS IS MY 2000TH POST
Big deal, I know a couple of bloggers who have reached 10,000. I console myself by claiming that they are the WordPress equivalent of Post It notes, 50/75 word posts about themes and memes and blog prompts. I like to think that mine have a little more body and content.
I recently passed my 13th WordPress anniversary – almost thirteen years of dutiful, self-imposed, three-per-week, Monday/Wednesday/ Friday blogposts. Like many other long-term bloggers, I seem to have just run out of things to write about. Even when I do come up with a new blog theme, I don’t seem to have the strength, the stamina, the concentration, the creativity, or the dedication to get it composed and posted on time. That’s why so many “Monday” A To Z Challenges slid to Wednesday – I needed two extra days to get them finished.
It may be partly because of my continued aging – it may be partly the result of major surgery – it may be partly because of ingesting multitudinous medications (The pharmacy sent me a HAPPY BIRTHDAY Card.), but as Uncle Albert says, “I’m So Easy Called Away.”
I may have to do what several other long-term bloggers have done. I may have to reduce – but not eliminate, for now – the number of my posts. What the CBers used to call Sani-Bagging – reading other people’s posts and picking up their garbage, without spreading any much of my own.
So far, I seem to be able to keep up with Fibbing Fridays. Sometimes a little late, but I publish A To Z Challenges. After over ten years of providing jokes and humor, I’m having problems finding more that suits three-digit IQs. Adult humor doesn’t need to have sex in it. My output may diminish somewhat, but please keep stopping by.

Congrats

Thanx! It’s a small victory, but I’ll take it. 😀

Not having quality content has never stopped me, but we may differ there.
😉
Congrats on your two thousandth!

I never use one word – where 50 will do. 😉 😀

Congratulations!!! Uploading twice per week with quality content is still pretty impressive.

I sometimes wonder about “quality,” but I try. 😉 🙂

Your posts make me smile and I enjoy your Fibbing Friday responses whenever they come in. My blog is only 11 years old (started in 2013) and I’ve written 18,621 posts, but then I’ve always been a windbag!
2000 is a great landmark and I’m still visiting!

I didn’t want you to feel insulted with my Post It Notes comment. I knew you’d published a lot…. but, 18,621??! 😯 Even retired, I don’t have that time or patience – not and read 30 books a year, and care for a semi-invalid wife. She found out just how many non-WordPress tasks I perform when I spent 10 days in Hospital. 😀

No worries, and certainly no offence. I’m fast approaching my 2000th Three Things Challenge post and I do post every day. We don’t have a TV so maybe that’s why I bash out so many!

We have a TV, but I can’t even blame it for my distraction. The wife listens to YouTube music to cover her tinnitus, while I read or watch YouTube shorts on the computer – when I should be thinking and composing. 😉 🙂

Congratulations on your 2,000 posts. It’s good to see bloggers who stay, come what may. I enjoy reading your posts a lot. 🙂

The quantity may reduce a bit, but this is my retirement project to the bitter end. I should compose a post titled 30. If you are reading this, Archon has left the building. 🙂

Congratulations on your stats. Your best posts, to my mind, have been your “people-watching” comments, opinions on the changing culture(s) and the comedy/absurdity of the human condition. It’s not the frequency, but the quality. I’m a fan. Be kind to yourself, Archon.

I will, if only because so many people like you are so kind to me. 😀

Your stamina is impressive – you exhaust me, almost two decades your junior, and with a better ticker! (I hope!) Keep going at whatever rate you feel comfortable. You’ll always have followers for whatever you generate, my friend.

I have sometimes wondered if you felt like I intruded on your life – stopping unannounced to check on you, sending strange pep-letters. Apparently not. It’s been good for me, too. 😀 😀
