Ukraine Statehood Day: President von der Leyen in Ukraine

On 15th July 2026, European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen visited Kyiv on the occasion of Ukraine Statehood Day. Her visit involved a ceremony for the day of Ukrainian Statehood and for the fallen soldiers of Ukraine at the Wall of Remembrance in Kyiv.

The President also delivered a press conference and attended a bilateral meeting with President Zelenskyy, as well as the Southeast Europe Summit.
