We couldn't agree more with John Dutton's (Head of UpLink) words: “From data centres seeking more efficient cooling to agricultural systems under strain, innovation is no longer optional. What’s needed is early-stage innovation that supports economic growth without undermining natural resources. These aquapreneurs show what’s possible, developing scalable solutions across infrastructure, agriculture, and industry.” 👉Full article: https://lnkd.in/etB-tDBY A big thank you to David Lyons from Pioneers Post for highlighting the work being done by aquapreneurs around the world. Coverage like this is vital in accelerating the transition to sustainable water management.

The solution for your groundwater dynamics challenges
About us
Monitoring Groundwater Dynamics iFLUX developed an innovative groundwater monitoring solution to track groundwater contamination. Our iFLUX samplers can monitor contamination plumes transported by groundwater and therefore detect +130 validated contaminant types, orientation, speed, and overall volume. (Mass flux) These insights are key for achieving a faster and more effective groundwater remediation plan. Moreover, iFLUX developed a second ground-breaking solution, the iFLUX Sensing Solution, which offers the possibility to remotely monitor groundwater flux in real-time from the comfort of your office. The iFLUX sensing network empowers drinking water utilities, large-scale dewatering operators in construction, nature organizations, the mining industry, and cities to effectively monitor and manage their groundwater activities. This ensures not only sustainable and resilient groundwater management but also makes cost-efficient decisions based on accurate, real-time groundwater data as well as preserving the environment. With over 70% of all water use originating from groundwater worldwide, iFLUX aims to help safeguard this precious resource by enabling and visualizing true groundwater dynamics monitoring. Our mission is to create this ‘Eureka’ moment in groundwater projects globally.

Meet Simon Laurent, our Head of Partnerships & Growth. In his new role, he'll focus on building strong, long-lasting partnerships and driving iFLUX's growth strategy. Simon brings 10 years of water industry expertise from his time at a Belgian SME producing water pumps. When he's not working, you'll find him on the rugby pitch, sailing, or trail running – always close to water. Simon: "Water is a precious resource we must take better care of. iFLUX's commitment to sustainable groundwater management aligns perfectly with my values." "First know where the contamination is, then measure what is moving — and only then remediate.” In this conversation with Pieter Buffel (EnISSA -Enhanced in Situ Soil Analysis) and our colleague Marjan Joris, we explore how high-resolution site screening and dynamic groundwater monitoring strengthen each other, helping us define contamination more clearly and remediate it more effectively. Because when the problem is well defined, the solution follows: 🧠 smarter remediation strategies 💰 lower costs ⏭ a faster route to a cleaner subsurface. 👉 Check our latest blog via the links in the comments! #groundwater #remediation #iFLUX #collaboration #innovation #sustainability

One of the projects we're proud to look back on in 2025! As part of the Bankbusters project – which explores innovative techniques to accelerate tidal marsh development and enhance their resilience – we collaborated with DEME Group, Jan De Nul Group, University of Antwerp & Ghent University – funded by De Blauwe Cluster (Blue Cluster) & VLAIO - Flanders Innovation & Entrepreneurship. Goedele Verreydt from iFLUX coordinated the groundwater monitoring. In every test section we installed groundwater flux sensors that measure how water moves horizontally through the marsh – a key factor for understanding drainage. But we didn't stop there: 🔹 We also tracked soil moisture and river levels 🔹 All data was recorded every 15 minutes and sent via telemetry 🔹 A camera system allowed us to compare real-time images with flux data All of this came together in a central dashboard, where we could visualize marsh development in detail. The result? Better insights into how tidal marshes function – and how they can provide the ecosystem services we need for the future. 🌍💧 👉 Check our latest blog & the final report via the links in the comments!

Whoop whoop!🥳 Last night iFLUX won the AHA! Innovation Award in the 'Achieved' category at Antwerp Innovation Night! The jury captured what we stand for: "This company uses its innovative power to make visible what usually happens deep underground. They demonstrate that technological progress and care for a sustainable future can go hand in hand." Christian Montag, Managing Director iFLUX: "The real applause belongs to iFLUX founders Goedele Verreydt and Tim Op 't Eyndt, and the entire iFLUX team. Without their brains and guts, we wouldn't have been standing on this stage." This award represents another important step in our mission to bring groundwater to the forefront of public and industrial consciousness. Christian: "We're pleased that groundwater is getting the recognition it deserves. However, we are not the heroes in this story. The real heroes are the industrial companies, cities, drinking water companies, remediation consultants, construction clients... and all our customers. They're the ones making daily decisions to protect and sustainably manage groundwater resources." Big thanks to Voka - Kamer van Koophandel Antwerpen-Waasland, UAntwerpen Valorisation Office, Provincie Antwerpen, POM Antwerpen for their support! Also a big applause to Maarten Weyn, Sander Wuyts, PhD 🧬and Stefan De Wachter! #iFLUX #AntwerpInnovationAward #AHAInnovationAward #Groundwater #Sustainability #Innovation #WaterManagement #AntwerpInnovationNight
