One of the projects we're proud to look back on in 2025! As part of the Bankbusters project – which explores innovative techniques to accelerate tidal marsh development and enhance their resilience –  we collaborated with DEME Group, Jan De Nul Group, University of Antwerp & Ghent University – funded by De Blauwe Cluster (Blue Cluster)  & VLAIO - Flanders Innovation & Entrepreneurship. Goedele Verreydt from iFLUX coordinated the groundwater monitoring. In every test section we installed groundwater flux sensors that measure how water moves horizontally through the marsh – a key factor for understanding drainage. But we didn't stop there: 🔹 We also tracked soil moisture and river levels 🔹 All data was recorded every 15 minutes and sent via telemetry 🔹 A camera system allowed us to compare real-time images with flux data All of this came together in a central dashboard, where we could visualize marsh development in detail. The result? Better insights into how tidal marshes function – and how they can provide the ecosystem services we need for the future. 🌍💧 👉 Check our latest blog & the final report via the links in the comments!

Whoop whoop!🥳 Last night iFLUX won the AHA! Innovation Award in the 'Achieved' category at Antwerp Innovation Night! The jury captured what we stand for: "This company uses its innovative power to make visible what usually happens deep underground. They demonstrate that technological progress and care for a sustainable future can go hand in hand." Christian Montag, Managing Director iFLUX: "The real applause belongs to iFLUX founders Goedele Verreydt and Tim Op 't Eyndt, and the entire iFLUX team. Without their brains and guts, we wouldn't have been standing on this stage." This award represents another important step in our mission to bring groundwater to the forefront of public and industrial consciousness.
