Sustaining land
Many Campertunity hosts are farmers. Welcoming campers helps them sustain their land — while keeping food local, supporting agri-tourism, and putting money back into the community.
our story
Campertunity helps campers discover the best places to camp, and helps hosts get found — across the web and the new world of AI-powered camping search. Founded in Canada, opening the outdoors worldwide.

what we stand for

Many Campertunity hosts are farmers. Welcoming campers helps them sustain their land — while keeping food local, supporting agri-tourism, and putting money back into the community.

Camping leaves almost no footprint. More ways to camp means more people choosing nature over higher-impact travel — and the more time we spend outdoors, the more we want to protect it.

Great things happen when people meet. Campertunity connects campers and hosts across the globe, turning a place to stay into a chance to discover local culture, history, and people.
our journey
We started in one place and grew toward a bigger idea. Here is how Campertunity changed — and why.
the beginning
Campertunity launched in Canada as a camping booking platform, built on a simple frustration: too many campers, not enough campsites. We invited landowners to open their backyards and welcome campers.
growing roots
We grew quickly across Canada, but we always pictured something bigger — opening the outdoors worldwide. Not by competing with the platforms hosts already use, but by adding value alongside them.
a shift in search
Then the way people search began to change. AI moved discovery from links and forms to questions and answers. We became convinced the next frontier of finding a place to camp is AI-driven search.
today
So we made the leap. Campertunity is now a campsite search engine that brings together campground data from many public and partnership sources, presented in a way that is friendly to both AI and people. A booking-first platform could only show one way to book — a search engine surfaces them all. For hosts, that means listing every place campers can reach you.

how it all began
“Mark it in your calendar — campsite season starts soon,” said Nora, co-founder of Campertunity. “But it’s January!” I replied. Still, I went ahead and nabbed our spot after a stressful scramble, randomly picking a summer weekend I hoped I’d be free.
That summer, we pitched our tent on a small gravel lot, conveniently — but also inconveniently — located right by the bustling bathrooms, with camping neighbours just a few feet away. In the morning I woke to the sound of cars leaving and people walking past, with only thin nylon between me and the world.
Sound familiar? That experience led us to believe there had to be a better way to camp. So we built Campertunity — a solution to too many campers and not enough campsites.
We share almost everything, from our homes to our cars. Now it’s time to share our backyards. — Guita, Founder
