This webinar will focus on the opportunities and challenges of AI adoption in public administration and initiatives to support the deployment of EU-made, interoperable and open-source AI solutions across the public sector.

AI inside a chield

The Apply AI Strategy recognises the public sector as a key domain for the effective adoption of AI, contributing to Europe’s innovation capacity, competitiveness, and digital sovereignty. In this context, public administrations are encouraged to introduce AI strategically into their operations, while carefully assessing its benefits and associated risks.

The aim is to transform public administrations into proactive service providers that leverage AI-driven insights to anticipate challenges, support decision making, and deliver high-quality services to citizens and businesses.

One year after the adoption of the Apply AI Strategy, we will take stock discussing the results delivered by the flagship actions and shed light on the future support actions and how to engage in them.

During this session, we will cover:

  • The state of play, including main expectations from the public sector and findings fromrecent studies,
  • Actions and opportunities to implement and expand the Apply AI Strategy, including the AI Toolbox for public services, the Public Sector AI and Interoperability Readiness Pathway (PAIR) and the GenAI pilots,
  • A forward-lookingdiscussion on where to go from here, includingselected next steps.

This webinar is part of a series of Apply AI sectoral webinars, focusing on a cluster of strategic sectors to explore practical applications, use cases, and the specific needs of the industries.

The event will be live streamed on our YouTube channel.
