Danone Egypt is a subsidiary of Danone company, with headquarters in Cairo operating since 2006. Leading in the dairy industry, Danone Egypt employs more than 1,500 employees, driven by the company’s mission to “Bring Health through food to as many people as possible.” Danone is proud to make a positive contribution in Egypt and offers a diverse portfolio of high quality and safe products tailored to meet needs and tastes of Egyptians. Danone Egypt has a factory in Obour which has been whitelisted since 2018 and a world-class farm in Nubaria, ranking the third-largest farm in Egypt. The company plays a vital role in placing sustainability at the heart of its operations and its various projects spanning over than 10 years, such as "Al-Omda" micro distributor project which focuses on health accessibility through food in rural communities; the "Alban Baladna" Milk Collection Centres project aim to establish dairy collection centres in upper Egypt, while the "Kheir Ardena" project seeks to localise soybean cultivation. In addition, Danone Egypt and the Egyptian Food Bank’s (EFB) “Zero Food Waste” program aims to eradicate hunger across Egypt and provides weekly products to EFB’s beneficiaries. Danone Egypt is the first company in Egypt to achieve B CorpTM Certification, recognizing the company’s ambition to act beyond financial profit and adhering to the highest standards of social and environmental performance. Accredited by B Lab®, a non-profit organisation, this certification is bestowed upon companies that successfully balance purpose and profit. It underscores Danone Egypt's dedication to considering the broader impacts of its decisions on its employees, customers, suppliers, communities, and the environment, thereby contributing to a global movement that leverages business as a positive force for societal and environmental good.

In celebration of the International Day of Persons with Disabilities, Danone Egypt is proud to advance our mission of bringing health through food to as many people as possible. Through our partnership with ‘We Care,’ we empower children with special needs to take charge of their nutrition. We’ve established an on-site lab within the foundation, supplied weekly with milk from our Nubariya farm.
