The ICM Forum, previously known as the CCUS Forum, brings together since 2021 stakeholders from industry, national authorities, European Union institutions, NGOs, academia and others to discuss how to make the deployment of industrial carbon management projects a reality in Europe.
This year’s Forum will be co-hosted by the Commission and the Hellenic Hydrocarbons and Energy Resources Management Company (under the auspices of the Greek Ministry of Environment and Energy) in a hybrid mode from Athens, Greece on 8-9 December 2025.
The discussions will offer an opportunity to exchange views on the expected legislative initiative aimed at establishing a well-functioning internal market and infrastructure for CO2, alongside the implementation of existing legislation, including the Net-Zero Industry Act (NZIA), as well as the Carbon Removals and Carbon Farming (CRCF) Regulation. Topics such as CO2 transport network and cross-border CO2 transportation will be of particular interest.
Last year’s edition gathered more than 500 in-person participants in Pau, France, and up to 2 600 participants connected online. Distinguished speakers, including Commissioner Kadri Simson and current French Prime Minister François Bayrou, offered their perspectives and engaged in high-level dialogue on the implementation of the Industrial Carbon Management Strategy and the acceleration of project deployment.
We are sure that the ICM Forum will once again attract strong interest from participants!
Further information on the agenda will be communicated as the event approaches.
