The European Union is close to you thanks to around 400 EUROPE DIRECT centres across the EU. They inform, listen and engage with the public about EU issues. You can meet with them, ask and discuss any question, policy or opportunity related to the EU.
The centres are run by communication professionals with knowledge of EU matters. They
- provide general information about EU policies and activities, legislation, programmes and citizens’ rights
- organise conferences, debates and events to raise awareness about the EU
- work with local partners and multipliers such as local authorities, public bodies, schools and think tanks
- provide local media and multipliers with content on EU matters and involve them in their public activities
- team up and coordinate with other EU outreach centres.
