This is a minor maintenance release which contains the following:

1. Bumping up versions of dependencies
2. Some methods in base utils package have been deprecated and replaced with methods with a more meaningful name
3. Some new utility methods introduced in base utils package along with unit test updates
4. Removed the use of deprecated methods
