hncheck

A very simple app that checks HN's /newest page to see if something under one of your domains has been submitted, and emails you if it has.

You'll need some SMTP credentials for the app to be able to send you email. I recommend getting a free account over at Mailgun (note this will have to be activated and you'll have to add yourself as an authorized recipient).

By default, EMAIL_MODE is smtp and RECIPIENT, SMTP_LOGIN, SMTP_PASSWORD, SMTP_PORT, and SMTP_SERVER are required. Set EMAIL_MODE=log to run without email configuration and print a line when an email would've been sent.

By default, hncheck runs once and exits. Set LOOP=true to keep checking continuously.

Run the test suite:
