This is the first time I’m doing this (October 1st, 2012), so I don’t really know that much about blogging…. It’s just that I have this urge to express myself and be heard by someone.
My nickname, that is masadiso79, is created by the first syllables of my 4 children’s names: MArina, SAny, DImitris & SOtiris and my husband’s and my lucky numbers: 7 & 9 (this is NOT my birthdate).
My name is Doris, I am 41 years old and don’t have much free time for myself, but this will be my indulgence after the kids go to bed. I like to read, write, listen to music, take photos, go to the movies, travel and many more things that i don’t do quite often lately.
Thanks for reading this!
So, here you are.
A little bit of me and a lot of it coming soon!
The above text is what I wrote when I started this blog.
Since November 2012, I just dropped out. Just stopped. There was too much going on to be able to concentrate on blogging. Or so I thought. Today, seven months later, I start again. I realized how much I missed this little community of friends. All these people, with nothing but kind words and compassion. Blogging is a lot more than just posting photos or texts. It’s baring your soul to complete strangers, who finally turn out to be so much better than the friends you already have. I would like to thank all of you, from the bottom of my heart, for being out there for me. I really do appreciate it and I am thankful.
Thank you all.

I think you’ll enjoy blogging–I’ve made so many wonderful friends–and thank you for visiting me at CV!!
You ‘re very welcome! I’m beginning to make a few friends and feel very happy about it! 🙂
Welcome to the world of blogging. It looks like you and I started about the same time. Thank you for liking my post “Along the road.” I hope to see you again!
PS – Your pictures are beautiful and so are your children’s names!
All the best to you,
Kristi
Dear Kristi,
Thank you so much for your kind words. I’ve wanted to make a blog for quite some time now and in October it finally happened. I’m sure we both have a lot more to learn, but it’s great fun, isn’t it?
I originally wanted to write lots of things but it turned out that through photography I can express myself easier. Plus, I still don’t feel so comfortable just pouring myself out there. I’m already following some writing blogs, so I might start from there when I feel ready.
I want to thank you again for reading my “about” and wish you the best, too! 🙂
Inspiring in every way. Thanks.
You ‘re welcome. Thanks for taking the time to rear it! 🙂
Hey Doris!!
I’ve really enjoyed following your blog and getting to know you in this huge blog world! I’ve nominated you for the Very Inspiring Blogger Award! I hope you are able to participate! Thanks for inspiring me!!
Jennay, thank you so much. I feel really honoured for inspiring you. I don’t know much about nominations and stuff but I’ll definitely look into it! Thank you again from the bottom of my heart! 🙂
Doris, I am so touched that you thought of me for this nomination, and congratulations by the way, for being nominated yourself. I’m going to have to think about 15 others to nominate. I haven’t been following too many lately, and I know I need to. Do you know if there is a time limit to get them posted?
I love you blog! I was just looking through all your categories, and you’ve been quite busy. I’m so sorry to hear your sister is moving. I know that really takes the wind out of your sails. How are you with skype? I know it’s not the same, but it does offer some connection.
Be well my friend and keep taking your photos. They are the colors of your life!
Kristi, thank you so much for the lovely thoughts and words. The departure of my sister is really killing me. Skype is fine but not the same thing as seeing someone almost every day. I will have to do.
My blog is something really mine, so I try! We ‘ll see. Thanks again, we’ll be talking soon! 🙂
Hello, just snooping round! I loved your Geometry post! I didn’t realize you had started blogging so recently. It is a wonderful pasttime. Like you, it’s something that I can call mine. 🙂
Snooping around is what blog are made for! I am a brand new blogger, but I really want to give it my best. So far I’m doing all right, I think. I ‘ve come across a pretty awesome group of people, who are sensitive, inspiring and helpful. Maybe my timing was right. Who knows???? But it’s MY blog, no matter what! 🙂
Dear Doris, thanks so much for liking my post! Your blog is really wonderful and your kids are beautiful! Cheers, Deborah
Hi, Doris. I just wanted to say that I missed seeing an entry from you for this past week’s “Thursday’s Windows.” Now, please don’t feel that I’m wanting you to feel obligated to send in a picture. I know everyone cannot do so on a regular basis — and may even get tired of posting just windows. I won’t feel bad when they do. But I just wanted you to know that I always appreciate seeing your posts and that you were missed.
Hello M
I know that you have lots on at the moment from what I gleaned from your earlier posts but wanted you know that I am thinking of you and hope that all is as well as can be . I miss your posts.
Look forward to when you are able to return to Blogland 🙂
Take care now.
Hello M

Greetings from Australia Doris,
One of my close friends is named Sotiris, I love the meaning of the name in Greek.
Take great care and God bless you and your family
Thank you so much! I know that I’m answering back to you months later, but better late than never, eh? My sister and her family moved to Australia last December. They moved to Perth. I know your country is lovely but it’s soooooo far away. I just miss her (we do use skype, but it’s not the same…). Take good care, too and be well!!! 🙂
Hi, Doris. I’m just dropping you a note to say I’ve missed seeing posts by you on here. I noticed that you hadn’t sent any pictures for “Thursday’s Window” in a while, and then I realized I hadn’t seen anything else either. So when I came over today, I realized that you haven’t posted since November. I hope nothing serious is wrong and that maybe you have just been busy or having computer problems. I got a little too busy to keep “Thursday’s Windows” going, but one of the other bloggers who was taking part in it has taken over the challenge. She calls it “Longing Looks At Windows,” and you can find the link to her page on mine if you decide you can take part again. Hope to see you posting a lot of things again very soon.
Sandra
Dear Sandra, Thanks so much for your note. Truth is that it has been really difficult all these months and still is, but life goes on and I need to “resurrect” (sort of… If you know what I mean). I’ll definitely check out the windows challenge and I really appreciate that you missed my posts. For now I’ll take it one day at a time, and I’ll try to be here. Thanks a lot again, Doris.
Long time no see! I hope you and the family are all doing great Doris! Your pictures are amazing as always! Nice to be back! 🙂
Darling Ioanna, it’s good to be back. Thank you so much for your lovely words about my photos! I’m looking forward to seeing and hearing from you! 🙂
I have to agree with your blogging experience, best thing I’ve ever done.
Yes. It’s a way to let your creativity go wild and a chance to meet wonderful people from around the world. You may also discover some talents you didn’t know existed! Just love it! 🙂
Hi Doris, found you over at Jakesprinter’s Sunday Post. I was intrigued by your name so I popped on over. I had a similar experience with starting a blog and like you I’ve also enjoyed the community of friends I’ve met so far. Looking forward to reading more of your posts.
Regards, Mary
Mary, I am so happy to meet you! It’s always great to meet new people, especially when – as you say – have similar experiences.
Thank you for following and reading my posts!
Looking forward to hearing from you soon! 🙂
Thanks for sharing a world that reminds us of the many beautiful and amazing things/people/events/places around us.

Hi Doris,
Thanks for the like on my new photoblog! You have a lovely blog and I just love all the photo challenges you are taking part in. I’m looking forward to seeing more of what you do and maybe it will be great inspiration to join in some of them.
