A closing ceremony of the Nasimi Festival takes place

The closing ceremony of the 3rd Nasimi – Poetry, Morality and Art Festival took place at the Ateshgah Temple State History and Architecture Reserve at evening hours on September 25.

 

Here was held a literary and artistic evening with spiritual-irfani music dedicated to Nasimi’s legacy.

 

The evening was built in the format of a joint assembly of poets and musicians joined by the participants of the project “Soez”, performed by Savalan Group. Works “I am a dervish”, “Where are you”, “Eshg ahli”, “I am amazed”, “Syghmazam”. “Menem men” etc. were performed.

 

The final presentation at the festivals’ closing ceremony was the performance of Chingiz Mustafayev, who is famous for his different types of performances. He presented a performance on the basis of Sufi motifs.

 

Held in the course of September 23 to 25, organized by the Heydar Aliyev Foundation and the Ministry of Culture, with partnership of UNESCO, the Nasimi – Poetry, Morality and Art Festival included interesting presentations and premieres.

 

The festival aims, through various forms of artistic expression, at studying such themes as humanism, love and tolerance, and promoting a creative dialogue between generations. The programme of the large-scale event covered various types of art and areas of knowledge.

 

Held at various places of Baku and Shamakhy, the festival was remembered, this year too, by studying the philosophical and literary legacy of great Azerbaijani poet and thinker Imadeddin Nasimi, and a number of events related to literature and art.
