Hi,
I wanted to ask you a question. Since the poems you post are your own work, how do you prevent them from being plagiarized or copied?
Thank you.

You really can’t. If someone wants to take your work they can. But people often consider work on a blog and other such places as ‘unofficial’ and therefore, free to the public. So having a copyright statement is a good idea 🙂

Ihsan, I would like to chat with you about using some of your work for the healing work I do in Poetry Therapy…strictly for learning purposes and totally with all the credit to you.
(especially a poem like “Hiding” would benefit so many.) Much of what I do is allow others to do their own self healing by using the poem as facilitation.
If you’d rather, we can chat at : writingwingsforyou@gmail.com
I look forward to hearing from you. ~Marie

what do you mean by ‘prevent my work’ ? The work is copyright even if there is nothing above but if someone really wants to steal it theres not much you can do. I hope that answers your question!! I did it by going to dashboard – pages – new page

I was going to suggest with each poem you can insert © at the end, just so folks are aware. One thing that I had to realize is that there will be folks that will take your work. But the secret lies within you…there is always more inside of you and stealing well eventually does come back around full circle. I know this for certain. If someone takes my work and uses it, I do release it when I create it therefore, I don’t get bound up in all the Mine mine mine thing. Just sharing a my thought on this. I’ve had to learn to let go of a lot of things I tried to clutch.
Also I did see am email alert, post the someone had hacked your blog again. There is someone I know for a fact that is hacking blogs and I have turned them in to WP. I don’t see them on your blog but just wanted you to be aware this has happened to myself and another friend by one particular person, I know this for a fact. If you feel the need to know this person you can email me personally. It looks like you have everything back to normal. I’m so glad to see this! I don’t like it when this happens to someone that is giving so much such as yourself 🙂 Be blessed!

Thank you so much Michelle. I really appreciate you looking out for me 🙂 I guess this is the rist we take when we put out work out there but like you said – things have a way of coming back around and you’re right – we (especially me!) need to let go of the me, me, me thing! Ive up’ed the security on my blog and am backing it up so hopefully all will be fine. If it happens again – I will definitely email you for the name!
Lots of love to you Michelle!

I’m so glad to hear that you are ok and your blog intact! My security is high as well! I think backing up is a smart idea as well. 😀
It’s hard to let go of our work. I’ve learned we can’t control so many things in life so I just am learning to let go more!
Hugs and love to you sweet friend! MM
