Thanks to Natascia Ronchetti from Il Sole 24 Ore for giving us the opportunity to share our challenge: cutting Scope 1 emissions on construction sites by over 90%. We are proud to have been among the first in Italy to use HVO (Hydrotreated Vegetable Oil) biofuel in our corporate, road, and operational fleet, significantly reducing atmospheric emissions. We were also pioneers in electrifying some of the traditional operational equipment typical of our sector, such as pipe bending machines. In every project, we strive to implement new measures to make our activities more sustainable — from the use of “Stage V” machinery to the installation of photovoltaic panels on our sites. We applied these solutions in the second section, Gubbio–Apecchio, of the recently launched Foligno–Sestino Methan Pipeline project under our responsibility. The Snam pipeline, part of the Adriatic Line, aims to increase the flexibility of the national infrastructure system. Eight microtunnels of various diameters, tunnels with reinforced concrete segments, and complementary works in the steepest sections will ensure the integrity of the affected territory. We’ve secured a new framework agreement in Mexico — a major step forward in our long-term strategy in the country. We’re proud to announce the award of a framework agreement with Eni Mexico for multidisciplinary works in the development of Mexico Area 1, located in the Sureste Basin. The framework agreement covers Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) services for both onshore and offshore facilities, including upgrades, modifications, new installations, and decommissioning activities — all aligned with Eni’s development plan. Area 1 includes the Amoca, Miztón, and Tecoalli fields, spanning approximately 67.2 square kilometers in water depths ranging from 10 to 40 meters. So far, three work orders have been assigned, two of which are already completed, each involving around 120 people, with 95% of the workforce being Mexican. This 36-month agreement strengthens our presence in Mexico and reaffirms our commitment to local communities through job creation, skills development, and long-term social impact, while continuing to deliver operational excellence.

Today, the data we want to share with you doesn’t speak about our industry or our construction sites. It speaks about the power of prevention.   According to Regione Emilia-Romagna, participation in breast cancer screening has reduced mortality by 56% among women who participated in the study. Cervical cancer screening has helped reduce new cases by 40% and mortality by 50%.   To believe in people is to believe in the power of care — and to bring that care into the heart of our communities, from public squares to company halls, where it can truly make a difference.   This was proven by the Clinica Mobile – Vivere il Comune initiative, held on Saturday, October 4th in Piazza Verdi, right here in our Busseto. Clinica Mobile is a cutting-edge medical center on wheels, designed to bring screenings and specialist consultations wherever they’re needed. Since 2009, we have been present in Mexico, where we have been able to put to good use the experience we built up over the years in Europe. Over the past 15 years, we have had the chance to develop, enhance, and recognize the skills and professionalism of the country’s highly specialized workforce. Together with Orienta Spa Agenzia per il lavoro Società Benefit, Orienta Direct, and the Italian Cultural Institute, we submitted a project to the Ministry of Labor and Social Policies to allow specialized personnel to work in Italy, with the support of the Italian Consulate in Mexico City. After obtaining all the necessary authorizations, on August 4th we launched a training program for 52 Mexican workers, including Italian language and industry-specific vocabulary courses, professional training, civic education, workplace safety, and career guidance. This 240-hour program was completed on September 15th, and the next step is their onboarding at SICIM, where they will work alongside our Italian staff. We are looking forward to welcoming our new colleagues and starting this onboarding journey, which will surely be a valuable opportunity for mutual exchange and growth.
