News websites are among the very worst websites in the entire world. Always have been. We need real news, real reporting, real journalism, but the ad tracking badweb around it is like cement shoes.


News and journalism websites absolutely totally dropped the ball many years ago and has never recovered it. Now perhaps they’re not to blame for it anymore than an oil painter is to be blamed for not understanding JPEG artifacts but this is one of the main reason the world is so messed up now.

This isn’t new. We’ve been drenched by garbage web since the nineties with Dreamweaver and Flash and huge pixmaps. But even so, it’s refreshing to see it called out.
