...DENSE FOG WILL IMPACTS PORTIONS OF THE COASTAL WATERS THROUGH
FRIDAY MORNING...

Dense fog will likely become more widespread this afternoon and
evening for the coastal waters adjacent to the Central Coast to
south of Point Conception. Dense fog will then likely spread into
portions of the inner waters tonight, south of Point Conception.

Mariners should be prepared for abrupt visibility changes down to
one nautical mile or less, locally falling to near zero
visibility. Reduce speeds and be on the lookout for exposed rocks
and other vessels, including large ships in the shipping lanes.
Use radar or GPS navigation if available, and consider remaining
in harbor if such equipment is unavailable.

...HIGH SURF ADVISORY NOW IN EFFECT UNTIL MIDNIGHT PDT TONIGHT...

* WHAT...Large breaking waves of 8 to 12 feet with dangerous rip
currents.

* WHERE...West and northwest facing beaches of San Luis Obispo
and Santa Barbara counties.

* WHEN...Until midnight PDT tonight.

* IMPACTS...There is an increased risk for ocean drowning. Rip
currents can pull swimmers and surfers out to sea. Large
breaking waves can cause injury, wash people off beaches and
rocks, and capsize small boats near shore.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Remain out of the water due to dangerous surf conditions, or stay
near occupied lifeguard towers. Rock jetties can be deadly in
such conditions, stay off the rocks.

...SMALL CRAFT ADVISORY REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 9 AM PDT FRIDAY...

* WHAT...Hazardous sea conditions.

* WHERE...Waters from Pt. Sal to Santa Cruz Island CA and
westward 60 nm including San Miguel and Santa Rosa Islands.

* WHEN...Until 9 AM PDT Friday.

* IMPACTS...Conditions will be hazardous to small craft.
