The NASIG Program Planning Committee (PPC) invites proposals for the Great Ideas Showcase and Snapshots sessions that will be held as part of the 40th NASIG Annual Conference program. NASIG Annual will be a fully virtual conference held May 19th – 21st 2025.

The Snapshot Sessions will consist of up to seven five-minute presentations with a focus on an idea, project, workflow, etc.  If you’ve always wanted to speak at NASIG, but haven’t felt like you had enough to say for a full session, this is a great opportunity for you.  The Snapshot Sessions will be held on Wednesday, May 21st, 2025 from 3:15 to 4:00pm, EDT. Presenters must be available virtually to present their snapshots during that time. 

The Great Ideas Showcase will provide an opportunity to share innovative ideas, new workflows, and new applications of technology via a poster session. Posters will be hosted on a virtual platform and will be accessible for the duration of the conference. More information about poster format etc. will be provided after acceptance. To allow attendees to interact with poster presenters, a live Q&A session is scheduled on Tuesday May 20th, 2025 from 3:45pm – 4:30pm EDT. Presenters are strongly encouraged to be available virtually to attend this session. 

Proposals may present a report of a research study, an analysis of a practical problem-solving effort, or a description of an innovative program that may be of interest to the NASIG community. Proposals should name any particular products or services that are integral to the content of the snapshot/showcase. However, as a matter of NASIG policy, showcases and snapshots should not be used as a venue to promote or attack any product, service, or institution.
