I’m an amateur photographer (with a deep love of photoshop), an aspiring archaeologist and anthropologist, a Burner, a gardener, a daughter, a divorcee, a cook, an explorer, a chronic depressive, and an all-around good hearted weirdo.
One of the reasons I use so much photoshop is that I am a visual and emotional thinker, and the editing helps my pictures become more like what I see and feel inside my head and heart. The images may not always translate to others as well as I’d like, but communication, any kind of communication, can be challenging sometimes. I hope you find at least a few images that strike you, or catch your eye for a moment, or perhaps give you ideas for your own work. Few things are worth doing, especially creativity, if you don’t share it with anyone, so here I am.
Hey! Thanks for stopping by and checking out my page. You do a really great job with your pics. Photoshop or not it’s your point of view and it’s definitely interesting. Can’t wait to see what you do next!
Thank you! I haven’t looked at all of your work but I definitely liked what I did see. I love how many different ways there are to see the same things, how different people translate the world around them, it’s great! π
your pictures are really cool….i generally attempt to never use any editing as genarally i dont like edited pictures….but yours are extremely well done and very interesting…………
Thank you. I sometimes have mixed feelings about the editing, and I know I don’t always do as well as I’d like to, but it definitely helps the pictures look more like what my brain sees, if that makes sense π
Stunning photography. And thank you for showing this East-Coaster a glimpse of Western beauty.
Thank you! If you ever visit this half of the country and want some recommendations on things to see, just ask π
in the remote event you wander over to my ‘blorg’ i suspect you might be intrigued by the non-photoshopped BLUE DIRT in a cave with a bl(e)ack dawg …
Oh wow, that’s beautiful!! What a wonderful place to find! π
i’m emailing my Portland sonnin(out)law to check your site, and hopefully get him started on a wordpress photo (with some commentary) undertaking… (thanks for the inspiration!)
I assume that you live in Portland, so I’d like to recomend that you visit the Tualitan Hills Nature Park. If you take the Max out towards Hillsboro, when you exit at the Merlo Road Station, you will see the entrance to the park. Walking in that park every day helped me recover from a terrible illness (the story is on my blog). Since then I have met many people who have told me that being in the nature park soothes their spirit, and gives them a feeling of inner peace. It is truely a magical place. And if it doesn’t help your depression, at least you will get some great photos.
Thank you! I’ve never heard of it, but i will definitely check it out soon. One of the places I have found, and love, is Camassia Nature Preserve in West Linn. I prefer it in the spring when the wildflowers are blooming, but it’s a really lovely little spot year-round. Here’s to places that help us heal π
You can see some nice photos of the park here: http://www.searchingforfernando.wordpress.com
your blue painted hills “job” was so well-done, i’m hopin’ that you’ve got something equally knox-the-sox-awph uppyer sleeve!
Aw, thank you! It’s harder to find good road trips in the winter here, so it may be spring or early summer before I get to do another really good photo-journey, but i will definitely do more π
GOOD STUFF HERE!
Thank you so much! It makes me really happy to know that someone enjoys something I’ve created. I’ve always felt like the best part of creating art is sharing it π
