In Free Exercises of Cosmo-Egology, I explore freedom, solitude, and the ontological condition of Being through a series of meditative and dialectical reflections, originally written as notes on a Hegelian reading. At the center of this inquiry stands the concept I call ontological surprise—the sudden disclosure of Being that unsettles belief, corrects error, and opens consciousness to truth. For me, philosophy has never been a mere academic discipline or an intellectual exercise. It is, and has always been, a path toward (...) salvation—a way in which thought and Being seek their mutual reconciliation. In the Addendum, I recall the origins of this path: my earliest philosophical reflections, beginning around the age of four, when wonder first awakened the sense of metaphysical questioning. Through these free exercises I do not present a doctrine, but an open practice of thought, in which freedom arises within the interplay of presence and absence, certainty and doubt. Continuing the speculative lineage of Kant and Hegel, yet extending it toward an inner experience of transcendence, I understand philosophy as the movement through solitude toward communion—the path by which Being, in revealing itself, redeems. Epistemology of historiography. What are the criteria for truth in historiography? What is the historical truth? Is contemporary history possible? Historical truth, a product of our poetic imagination? These are the questions that this letter revolves around.

In this paper, I develop a stereoperspectival epistemological interpretation of Kant’s Critique of Pure Reason, focusing on the antinomy of pure reason as the central matrix of his critical philosophy. My purpose is to show that Kant’s method is not only analytical but conciliatory—a “science of peace” between conflicting standpoints of reason. -/- I propose the concept of stereoperspectival epistemology as a reformulation of Kant’s dualism between the empirical and transcendental uses of reason. Just as stereoscopic vision produces depth through (...) the synthesis of two distinct visual perspectives, knowledge itself arises through the interplay of two irreducible yet complementary standpoints: empirical and transcendental, analytic and synthetic, phenomenal and noumenal. This model offers a new key for understanding Kant’s transcendental logic as a logic of reconciliation, rather than contradiction. -/- Moreover, I argue that Kant’s transcendental aesthetics anticipates the epistemological framework of modern physics, where uncertainty and probability function as transcendental certainties. In part, this paper summarizes ideas from my debut book: Critical Introduction. On the Possibility of Metaphysics as a Science from the Perspective of Kantian Critical Philosophy, Crates, 2004 (not yet translated from Romanian into English or any other language). Main thesis: cosmological antinomies are paradoxes (such as the liar paradox, for example), and paradoxes in general are not logical errors, but rather an indestructible epistemological matrix that somehow configures knowledge from within, in all its possible forms. Consequently, metaphysics in (...) Kant's understanding is a science, but not a positive one (of the objects of our sensitive experiences), but an apophatic one (of the limits of both sensitive and theoretical knowledge). Ultimately, I argue, metaphysics is the science of its own possibilities or, in other words, the science of its own epistemological limits. That's why I felt compelled to immediately publish this Chat, which seems to me to be of paramount importance for contemporary philosophy. In 1999 I published a paper entitled "The Antinomie of Pure Reason and Logical Paradoxes" (I will soon provide an English translation). In it I showed that the four cosmological antinomies in Kant's Critique of Pure Reason have a paradoxical structure, similar to that of the "liar's paradox". Also there I deepened the investigation of paradox as a phenomenon of thought, not as a logical fallacy, and I emphasized the role of the concept of "totality" in the construction and inner (...) dynamics of paradox. Since then it has become clear to me that the Critique of Pure Reason has a paradoxical structure and that transcendental aesthetics and transcendental logic, though antithetical, are nevertheless complementary, not contradictory. This idea has taken on greater force in my book: "Critical Introduction. On the Possibility of Metaphysics as Science in Kantian Critical Philosophy" (2004, still untranslated into English), where I showed that the system of Kantian critical philosophy is a "system of the conciliation of perspectives" and that the "thing-in-itself" plays in this system the role that the "concept of totality" plays in paradoxes and the "concept of infinity" plays in mathematics. By this I have shown that non-Euclidean geometries, quantum mechanics and relativistic physics are synthesized products of our productive imagination, not of empiricism, and that they have not "falsified" Kantian epistemology, but on the contrary, have confirmed it. Next I was concerned with the following problem. I said to myself that if the apriorism and inneism of Kantian epistemology are rigorously valid, then there must be some physiological evidences. I soon found plenty. Against this background I "discovered" Iain McGilchrist and his books on the Internet. Brain lateralism corresponds perfectly to the stereoperspectivism of Kantian epistemology. The left hemisphere (the Emissary, in McGilchrist's terms) is the empiricist and pragmatist hemisphere, the analytic hemisphere, of Euclid's geometry and Aristotle's logic, and the right hemisphere (the Master, in McGilchrist's terms) is the metaphysical and moral hemisphere, the synthetic, creative hemisphere, which encompasses and surpasses all the attributes of the left hemisphere.
