Functions

func Ascii

func Ascii(src image.Image) ([]byte, error)

Ascii renders src as ASCII art: each 7×13 cell is replaced with a character whose density matches the cell's mean luminance, drawn on a black background.

func Burn

func Burn(src image.Image) ([]byte, error)

Burn overlays a "Doom-fire" simulated flame field over src — seeded along the bottom row, propagated upward with random horizontal drift and cooling, then colored via a black→red→orange→yellow→white palette.

func Lego

func Lego(src image.Image) ([]byte, error)

Lego renders src as a mosaic of LEGO-style bricks. Each legoBrickSize-sized cell is filled with the average color of the corresponding region of src, with subtle bevels (lighter top/left, darker bottom/right) and a shaded circular stud at the cell's center. The two-tone stud rim — light on the upper-left, dark on the lower- right — makes the bumps read as spherical 3D studs instead of flat circles.

Output dimensions match src. Cells at the right/bottom edge that don't fit a full legoBrickSize get a clipped brick with no stud (better than a stud that overflows into the next non-cell area).

func Paint

func Paint(src image.Image) ([]byte, error)

Paint applies a Kuwahara filter: for each pixel, it picks the mean of whichever of four surrounding regions has the lowest luminance variance, producing a painterly, edge-preserving smoothing effect.

func RGB

func RGB(src image.Image) ([]byte, error)

RGB returns a 512×256 PNG histogram of src's R/G/B channel distributions, with additive blending where bars overlap (yellow/cyan/magenta/white).
